Scripture Study:

Set your desire upon my words; love them and you will have instruction. Wisdom is glorious and never fades away and is easily seen by those who love her and is found by those who seek her. She shows herself first to those who ardently desire her. He who rises early to seek her will not find it hard, for he will find her sitting at his door. To meditate upon her, therefore, is perfect understanding; and he who watches for her will quickly be secure. For she goes about seeking those who are worthy of her, and she shows herself to them cheerfully in their paths and meets them in each thought. For the beginning of wisdom is the most sincere desire for instruction. And the concern of instruction is love; and love is the keeping of her laws; and the keeping of her laws is the firm foundation of immortality, and immorality brings one near to God. Wisdom 6:12-20

Prayer to Saint Paul of the Cross:

O Good St. Paul of the Cross, you revealed the wonders of God's power by proclaiming the Passion of God's only Son.

By your words and mighty deeds, you became a spiritual guide and preacher of the gospel to a world grown gold to the love of Jesus Christ.

Turn our hearts and minds to the merciful cross of Jesus. Help us to persevere in faith and love, and assist us in every need.

By sharing the Passion of Jesus in this life, may we come to share in the glory He has promised. Amen.

Prayer for Divine guidance through the Day

Lord, God Almighty, you have brought us safely to the beginning of this day. Defend us today by your mighty power, that we may not fall into any sin, but that all our words may so proceed and all our thoughts and actions be so directed, as to be always just in your sight. Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
